Researcher - Loose Women

Return to jobs

The Role

The team

Loose Women is an award winning show that’s making waves – and headlines – around the world. Whether it’s getting celebrities to open up like never before or having Hollywood stars like Dolly Parton and Matthew McConaughey, working on special features and shows including Loose Men, Daytime’s longest-running talk show continues to set the news agenda every weekday for our million-plus viewers. And now, you have a chance to join our talented team.

The role

We are looking for a researcher brimming with brilliant, never-seen-before ideas for TV content that will continue to get our viewers talking. You must know the topics that are guaranteed to connect with our audience and be able to source interesting and unique stories before they break anywhere else. The ideal candidate will be able to turn current affairs, showbiz, human interest and hard news stories into compelling debates, knowing just how to strike that delicate balance between light and shade on our show.

You will know how to get the best from a celebrity guest and establish and maintain strong relationships with PRs and talent to ensure the best content is featured on Loose Women. You will have a journalistic background and be used to working in a live news environment.

Last, but not least, a great sense of humour is a must – as well as talking about the tough issues of the day, Loose Women provides our viewers with a laugh at lunchtime. If you think you fit the bill and thrive on the buzz of working on a live network programme, we’d love to hear from you!

Please send your CV together with THREE ideas for topics you think would be perfect for a Loose Women show, as well as TWO newsworthy guest suggestions you believe would generate great content and headlines.

What is the magic of ITV?

It starts with a simple love of television. Watching it, creating it, talking about it. Whether it’s daytime or primetime, for downtime or anytime.

We’re inspired by our audiences. Who helps shape what we make. Standing shoulder to shoulder with them. Because what matters to them, matters to us.

Starting conversations. Winning hearts. Changing minds and sometimes even society itself. Big or small, what we make makes an impact.
