The Role

The role

The Assistant Digital Producer will produce content for Continuing Drama (Coronation Street and Emmerdale) across ITV.com and social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Working across mediums of video, photos, graphic design and written word, the aim of this role is to entertain and engage our audience.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Previous experience (minimum 1-2 years) of creating social media content for either an agency or in-house production is essential
  • A passion for digital and social media is essential with the ability to excite and engage audiences
  • Strong short form video, photography / picture and editing skills is essential
  • Confident in using Adobe Premiere and Photoshop and other relevant software to create engaging content with experience of copywriting
  • A good understanding of television broadcast and production, particularly in the Continuing Drama area
  • Demonstrable experience of managing creative social media campaigns is essential
  • Experience of dealing with stakeholders is preferred

  • Good understanding of digital platforms, social media and online video
  • Full of creative ideas
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances and locations that occur within a production
  • A solid grasp of what works online and how to jump onto trends to maintain cultural relevance
