The role..
ITV’s Production Finance Hub is a production finance community, partnering productions and embedded in ITV Studios UK labels. Working within the Hub, this role will provide excellent comprehensive finance support to ITV’s Emmerdale. On a show where new episodes are filmed and delivered daily, the Assistant Production Accountant plays a critical role in keeping the show financially efficient and organised. They work with the Production Accountant to ensure the show is delivered on budget and adheres to ITV’s financial processes and policies.
Reporting to the Production Accountant, Emmerdale this role will:
- Support the Production Accountant in all financial transactions and the generation of timely and accurate financial information.
- Controlling cost data with the use of eTribez, Oracle Fusion Projects and internal ITV systems.
- Maintaining production data to support forecasting
- Work in collaboration with Finance, Production, external suppliers and internal business partners in order to maintain high service levels and strong financial administrative support throughout the production lifecycle.
- Generating financial documents (Purchase Orders/Sales invoices, etc) as and when required.
- Providing ad hoc financial and administrative support.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Previous finance experience
- Proficient in the use of Oracle systems
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel and the equivalent Google G Suite applications
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
- Strong ability to prioritise, multitask and maintain efficiency under pressure.
- Skilled at balancing the needs of producers, crew and finance teams to meet tight broadcast deadlines.
- Adept at managing multiple shooting units, schedules and financial processes with precision.
- Strong coordination and logistical skills developed in a high-volume, daily episodic production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and level of accuracy.
- Effective in tracking and communicating production costs between departments.
- High standard of computer literacy, in particular with Oracle systems, Microsoft Excel and Google Suite.
- Ability to ensure confidentiality, integrity and discretion of all records in line with Service Level Agreements, especially in relation to the Data Protection Act.
- Able to work collaboratively with creative and technical teams.
- Understanding of ITV financial policies, union/guild agreements, and UK TV production finance practices is desirable and episodic television production workflow is a plus.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with all ITV stakeholders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with multiple departments internally and externally.
- Experience of working in finance in the TV or Film industry.
- A passion for television and enthusiasm for supporting one of ITV’s flagship dramas.
- Experience using eTribez is desirable but not essential.
