Change & Engagement Specialist

Return to jobs

The Role

12 month fixed-term contract

Change & Engagement Specialist

The Change & Engagement Specialist will be responsible for providing change management support across the Content Supply Simplification (CSS) Programme at ITV.

The CSS programme aims to transform ITV’s Content Supply Chain (the way that ITV gets content in and the process of getting it ready to be delivered across various platforms and distributors). This programme will streamline business processes to provide operational teams with the right tools, systems, and accurate data—enabling end-to-end visibility, scalability, and clear, data-driven decision-making. The programme will reduce manual interventions, and risks of error.

This role will work alongside the CSS Business Change Manager and requires knowledge and experience of key change management activities and deliverables. The Change & Engagement Specialist will be responsible for delivering key change activities such as programme communications, change impact assessments, supporting training and managing a change network across the programme. As communications are a key aspect of this role, it is essential the individual can break down complex and technical language into simple and clear terminology.

The team

The Transformation Management Office is responsible for ITV’s ongoing transformation, on behalf of the Management Board. We work with teams from all across ITV, driving the delivery of programmes and making sure we’re prioritising the people side too. The Business Change team sits within the TMO with team members actively collaborating across programmes to share learnings, tips and tricks.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a communications plan using a variety of channels (videos, newsletters, townhall agendas/content etc).
  • Deliver communications as per the above comms plan.
  • Develop Change Impact Assessments (CIA) and support design of relevant change interventions.
  • Understand the training requirements (from CIA) and support the development of a tailored and relevant Training Plan, Approach and Curriculum based on the programme’s requirements and ITV’s ways of working.
  • Establish and manage the Change Network. This should include onboarding, preparation and delivery of regular meetings in collaboration with other team members.
  • Support the Change Manager to assess readiness and gather feedback from end users/stakeholders

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • At least 4-5 years experience working in Change, Training & Comms roles
  • Demonstrable experience of defining, developing and delivering a range of change initiatives for a large programme within a complex organisation
  • Ability to translate complex, technical language into simple terminology for a broader audience
  • Maturity of skills and breadth of experience in change management principles, methodology and tools
  • Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to present to and engage teams at all levels
  • Strong consultative, relationship management, networking and influencing skills

Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)

  • Experience within a media organisation is preferred
  • Experience as a management consultant is desirable

What is the magic of ITV?

It starts with a simple love of television. Watching it, creating it, talking about it. Whether it’s daytime or primetime, for downtime or anytime.

We’re inspired by our audiences. Who helps shape what we make. Standing shoulder to shoulder with them. Because what matters to them, matters to us.

Starting conversations. Winning hearts. Changing minds and sometimes even society itself. Big or small, what we make makes an impact.
