Distribution Partner Manager
The Role
Reporting to: Head of Distribution, Viewer Experience, Media & Entertainment Purpose: To manage and grow ITV’s footprint across a designated portfolio of distribution partners. This is a hands-on Partner Management role that ensures that ITV’s commercial interests and audience growth objectives are delivered through robust partner relationships and data-driven insights.
Key responsibilities
Partner Account Management & Growth
● Portfolio Management: Lead the day-to-day management for a defined set of partners (e.g., Roku, Microsoft, PlayStation), serving as the primary point of contact for operational and commercial queries for ITV’s AVOD and SVOD propositions.
● Strategic Support: Assist the Head of Distribution in managing relationships with major "Big Tech" partners (Amazon, Apple, Google, Samsung) by executing specific tactical initiatives.
● Engagement Driving: Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Insights teams to optimize ITVX visibility, discoverability, and content performance across all partner platforms.
Commercial & Contractual Oversight
● Performance Management: Lead the end-to-end Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process. Transform complex platform data into compelling, insight-led narratives that align platform activity with ITV’s growth objectives.
● Negotiation Support: Support commercial negotiations for renewals and new technical feature integrations. Assist with the lifecycle from initial term-sheet drafting to final signature, working closely with Legal, Business Affairs, and senior leadership.
Operational Excellence & Reporting
● Data Translation: Serve as the team’s bridge between raw platform data and strategic action. Work with the Distribution Executive to ensure reporting is high-quality, actionable, and ready for senior audiences.
● Governance: Oversee specialized workstreams, such as the relationship with anti-piracy vendors, and ensure internal compliance and reporting for senior leadership.
● Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a subject matter expert for the broader Distribution team, ensuring that internal stakeholders (Product, Data, Strategy) are aligned with platform-specific requirements and opportunities.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Ability to manage both internal cross-functional stakeholders and external global partners with confidence and professionalism.
- Ability to distill complex platform performance metrics into clear, concise narratives that drive partner action and internal alignment.
- A proactive mindset, capable of managing multiple negotiation lifecycles and high-priority projects simultaneously.
- Proven experience in supporting commercial contract negotiations within the digital media or streaming sector.
- Working knowledge of app deployment lifecycles and technical partner integrations, enabling effective collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
- Highly comfortable manipulating and interpreting large datasets (Looker, Tableau, etc.) to drive commercial decision-making.
- Proven experience in supporting commercial contract negotiations, specifically within the digital media or streaming sector with an understanding of app distribution models
- Deep understanding of app distribution models and streaming landscape (AVOD/SVOD) KPIs.
- Strong cultural alignment with ITV, with the ability to act as a brand ambassador and effectively communicate our core values and strategic vision in all partner negotiations.
