
Executive, Content Operations
The Role
The Global Content Operations Executive is the key GP (Global Partnerships) Operations contact for producers and localisation studios, guiding them from project kick off to final delivery, QC and archive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance to producers, post-production houses and localisation vendors on content related queries
- Ensure Production teams deliver content in a timely manner and compliant with contractual requirements
- Responsible for tracking and acceptance of master and localised deliverables, paperwork and after sales material
- Responsible for updating various ITV internal tracking tools
- Work with producers and internal teams to deal with all issues relating to QC failures
- Ensure localisation commissions conform to agreed editorial standards and support second window sales exploitation e.g. technical quality, widest rights
- Keep key stakeholders across delays and ensure earliest possible delivery to ITV GP and co-producers.
- Apply the producer recalls process as required
- Work closely with GP Localisation Team and support them on all localised ITV Commissions
- Build and manage relationships with the Global Content Team, Finance and Rights departments, to ensure that production companies meet contractual delivery obligations.
- Grow relationships with the Global Content Team, Marketing, and Sales departments, to ensure delivered materials meet ITV’s requirements
- Work with the ITV Technology teams in the agile development of workflows and tools
- Identify and support areas for improvement and efficiency
- Review and help implement operational workflow/processes to drive efficiency and communicate benefits to key stakeholders internally/externally
- Responsibility for day to day management of sensitive content into GP. Work with internal teams to ensure that agreed policy is adhered to.
- Keeping abreast of emerging TV technologies and formats such as UHD, HDR and IMF and ensuring that ITV GP deliverables are future proofed where possible.
- Liaise with a variety of production units (Third Party and ITV Studios) to confirm asset delivery requirements.
- Responsible for monitoring, resolving and escalating all issues in relation to localisation or any managed original versions.
- Apply the production recall process and dealing with rejections or issues relating to QC failures
- Responsible for updating various ITV internal tracking tools and inputting to tech and vendor sessions aimed at increased automation of tracking via ITV’s internal Content Supply Program.
- Grow relationships with the Global Content Team, Marketing, and Sales departments, to ensure delivered materials meet ITV’s needs
- Keep key stakeholders across delays and ensure earliest possible
- Liaise directly with dubbing studios during the production of localised versions
- Coordinate the transcription of scripts where applicable
- Contribute towards any updates for the ITV GD Technical Specification
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Experience within content receipt in an Operations environment and desire to learn the localisation processes and grow knowledge of localisation and post production techniques, terminology and file based workflows
- An general understanding of end to end digital workflows, from lens to client - shooting, post production, QC, delivery, localisation, storage, formats and distribution, always thinking ahead to future business opportunities for ITV GP
- Excellent I.T. skills
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Display a methodical approach with attention to detail, be able to quickly make decisions, and assess/act on changing priorities.
- A strong ethic of business process improvement and a drive to innovate around our Operations.
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
- A self-motivated highly organised team player. Must possess the ability to prioritise a large workload according to changing business needs by proactively juggling and prioritising a number of different tasks at any one time.
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with people at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Ability to present and explain technical information to sometimes non-technical individuals
- The ability to remain calm under pressure is essential, often working to tight deadlines
- Minimum of 15 months experience in a media distribution background, facility house, production department or localisation studio is desirable.
- An understanding of asset management processes, localisation practices and file formats for distribution.
- Knowledge of ITV systems helpful but not essential.
- Occasional availability outside of UK office hours required
- Any second / third language fluency is desirable but not essential, as is any project management / data reporting skills.
