The role…

ITV seeks a Group Financial Accountant within the Group Consolidation team. This team is responsible for preparing the Group's monthly consolidation, ensuring financial visibility and compliance with reporting standards.

The Group Financial Accountant will play a key role in supporting the monthly reporting process and will be pivotal in both the year end and interim reporting. Collaboration with various partners at different levels across our global business will be a core aspect of this role.

The responsibilities for the role are:

Monthly reporting:

• Helps prepare the FCCS Group Consolidation and supporting schedules
• Preparation of the cash flow statement
• Assists in the preparation of the monthly consolidation Reporting pack including balance sheet analytical commentary

Forecasting and Budgeting:

• Responsible for timely preparation of forecasts, budgets and 5 year plans for relevant areas

Technical Accounting:

• Involved in acquisition accounting together with the Group Reporting team
• Responsible for modelling all of the Group’s IFRS 16 leases
• Works closely with the Capex team to provide monthly spend reports
• As part of the Group Reporting team, assists in providing technical accounting support and training

Interim and Year end reporting:

• Responsible for the preparation of relevant note disclosures
• Liaise with the Group’s auditors on areas of responsibility
• Provide ad hoc support during key reporting periods

Engagement:

• Maintain relationships with ITV subsidiaries around the world
• Lead all aspects of training needs of new finance team members in FCCS, the Group’s consolidation system
• Maintain good working relationships with all accounting teams across the ITV Group including Group Tax, Group Treasury and Group FP&A

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)...

• Must be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA)
• Strong proven understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

• Excels at establishing and maintaining positive relationships with a wide range of individuals.
• Works optimally in a team setting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Experience of working with global subsidiaries with the ability to provide mentorship and support
• Ability to identify and drive through improvements (systems & process)
• Previous experience with a consolidation system and/or familiarity with Alteryx is helpful
• Office attendance and extended working hours are required during key periods.
