Junior Content Creator

Return to jobs

The Role

The team

We’re looking to continue raising the bar at ITV Creative - to compete with the best of the broadcasters and streamers and get people excited about our shows and our brand.

So we’re looking for a Junior Content Creative, someone who wants to get stuck into crafting scroll stopping social, punchy trailers as well as coming up with ideas for all of the above.

You’ll work alongside a Lead Content Creative across a huge range of shows and genres in a fast turnaround environment alongside other Creatives, Editors, Sound Mixers and Production.

The role

We need a Creative who is passionate and ambitious about Editing, Sound, Design and Social who can create bold and engaging assets across all of our genres and platforms.

You’ll be working across fast turnaround asset creation like social posts, and 10/20/30 second trailers eventually supporting larger 360 integrated campaigns and everything in between.

From an editing perspective a strong command of Adobe Premiere or Davinci Resolve is essential.

A grasp of motion graphics and design - particularly within Adobe After Effects - is also essential. This includes proficiency in creating text and emoji animations, split screens, and transitions for social media content.

Demonstrate fluency in social media (Meta, YouTube, and TikTok. etc) an understanding of emerging trends, and an eye for the distinct demands, opportunities and mechanics of all platforms.

Demonstrate an ability to write engaging, hooky copy for social and other platforms.

And have work / examples that illustrate all of the above.

You should also be a fantastic collaborator, working alongside Production, craft staff, being open to ideas from others and able to take and address feedback from stakeholders.

Experience with Self Op shoots would be an advantage - especially quick PTC (Piece to Camera) type projects.

And an ability to be self-reliant, managing projects, workloads and deadlines is extremely important although there is always support if needed.

Main responsibilities

  • Asset creation, offline editing and finishing across linear and social.
  • Using platforms such as the Adobe Suite to create the above + bespoke design elements.
  • Writing brilliant copy for Social and other platforms.
  • Developing ideas into executions with the Lead Content Creative.
  • Responding to briefs for a wide variety of content with a strong emphasis on communicating ideas through clip and archive based media.
  • Developing decks and ideas alongside the Lead Content Creative.
  • Have a forward thinking approach to the role, keeping abreast of current trends on social, video editing and more broad content creation.
  • Working with Post Production to drive innovation and creativity across the teams.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Some relevant experience in the industry, working for a broadcaster, agency or production house.
  • Evidence of great creative work.
  • Skilled at editing and flyweight motion design.
  • Knowledge of Digital / Social across Paid/Organic.
  • Ability to operate Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, photoshop or the equivalents.

Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)

  • Highly motivated, strong team player, with excellent creative, organizational and communication skills and attention to detail
  • A fundamental love of storytelling and how telling stories wins us audiences.
  • Able to work in a collaborative way with peers and stakeholders within ITV
  • Ability to work under pressure with overlapping projects in a reactive environment where understanding priority is key.
  • Recognising key relationships and making conscious effort to build rapport and strong working relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external.

What is the magic of ITV?

It starts with a simple love of television. Watching it, creating it, talking about it. Whether it’s daytime or primetime, for downtime or anytime.

We’re inspired by our audiences. Who helps shape what we make. Standing shoulder to shoulder with them. Because what matters to them, matters to us.

Starting conversations. Winning hearts. Changing minds and sometimes even society itself. Big or small, what we make makes an impact.
