The Role
The team..
The ITV Studios Scripted LBA team supports the labels Happy Prince, Tall Story Pictures, Silverprint Pictures, 5 Acts Productions, Etta Pictures, Monumental Television, Poison Pen Studios and Quay Street Productions as well as ITV’s Continuing dramas, Coronation Street and Emmerdale.
The team consists of:
- 5 Heads: Each responsible for scripted labels, reporting to the Director of Legal & Business Affairs, Scripted.
- Support Team: Senior Business Affairs Managers, Business Affairs Managers, and Business Affairs Executives support the Heads.
The role..
ITV Studios is seeking a Paralegal / Team Co-ordinator to support its Scripted Legal & Business Affairs (LBA) team. This is a varied role supporting the legal function behind iconic programmes such as Vera, Mr Bates vs The Post Office, Rivals and Missing You, as well as Coronation Street and Emmerdale. You'll work closely with a collaborative team across legal administration, project coordination, and internal communications, while also contributing to system improvements, legal research, and DEI initiatives. The role is ideal for someone coordinated, meticulous, and looking to build experience in the television and entertainment legal sector.
Office days are currently Tuesdays and Thursdays but may be subject to change.
Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Drafting and coordinating basic contracts and standard agreements for scripted shows
- Supporting updates to legal templates, internal mentorship, and processes
- Assisting with Contract 360 and Airtable system implementation and configuration, our Contract Lifecycle and Matter Management systems
- Leading legal resources and preparing regular bulletins with industry and internal updates
- Supervising and actioning contract option expiries, renewals, and key deadlines
- Prioritising and attending team meetings, including note-taking and follow-up
- Acting as a first point of contact for general team queries
- Supporting DEI activities, including volunteering and pro bono initiatives
- Assisting with a range of ad hoc legal and administrative tasks
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- You must have paralegal or similar experience in an in-house legal team or commercial law firm
- Must become comfortable with team coordination responsibilities, including crafting agendas and handling general team administrative duties
- Effective administration skills for contract management
- Experience in the TV or media industry is preferable

- Software proficiency including Google Suite and legal document/contract management systems
- Quick to learn, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Flexible, collaborative, and encouraging teammate with a positive demeanor
- Willingness to support others while handling a demanding workload
- Demonstrates discretion, trustworthiness and emotional intelligence in handling confidential and critical information
- Acts as a trusted teammate, handling all internal and external collaborators with tact, courtesy and professionalism
- Communicates optimally and efficiently with calm and sound judgment, particularly in critical or high-pressure scenarios
- An understanding of copyright and intellectual property is advantageous but not crucial.
