The Role

The team..

In Group Finance, we support teams across the whole of ITV, helping them create content and products that millions of people interact with every single day. When you join us, you enter a fun working environment with opportunities to learn, to grow and make a real difference. Small enough that your impact’s felt in the business, but big enough that your impact reaches millions of people.

ITV is restructuring its Third Party Payments team, shifting towards a compliance-focused approach to drive change, ensure policy adherence, and optimise workflow efficiency.

The role..

We’re hiring a Payments Specialist to join our Procure-to-Pay (P2P) team on a permanent contract, reporting to the AP & Payments Manager. You’ll be responsible for processing supplier and employee payments, reconciling transactions, and managing monthly cashflow forecasting. This role is key to ensuring payments are made on time, every time, while maintaining compliance and supporting continuous improvement.

You’ll work closely with internal teams, the Treasury function, and external stakeholders to resolve issues, reduce errors, and optimise processes. If you're detail-driven, process-focused, and eager to make an impact in a fast-paced finance environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Process supplier, intercompany, and employee expense payments accurately and on time
  • Act as the main contact for payment queries, ensuring clear and prompt resolutions
  • Prepare and update monthly cashflow forecasts in collaboration with Treasury and AP
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve aged or unmatched items
  • Investigate payment delays and recurring errors, implementing fixes
  • Identify and support process improvements for payment efficiency and accuracy
  • Provide reporting and insights on payment trends and risks
  • Support audits by supplying requested data and documentation
  • Help reduce non-standard or urgent payment requests through stakeholder engagement
  • Work with MDM to improve payment categorisation and reporting
  • Share payment process knowledge with internal teams to reduce errors
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures
  • Track and support team KPIs and contribute to performance goals
  • Assist with onboarding and training new team members
  • Take ownership of your development through regular feedback and learning

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Proven experience working with finance ERP systems (Oracle Fusion preferred; SAP also relevant)
  • Strong working knowledge of core accounting principles and financial controls
  • Substantial experience in an Accounts Payable function within a finance team or shared service centre
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse financial data and present insights to management and stakeholders
  • Experience working in a shared service environment (preferred but not essential)

Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)

  • Proficient in Excel, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data manipulation
  • Confident using Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office tools
  • Demonstrated experience identifying process inefficiencies and implementing improvements
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data insights and trends
  • Clear and effective communicator, able to explain root causes and suggest practical solutions
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and meet challenging deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive and improvement-focused mindset
  • Comfortable navigating complex processes and providing practical recommendations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial and data-driven tasks
  • Demonstrates adaptability and resilience in a changing work environment
  • Awareness of financial risks and fraud prevention within payment processes

What is the magic of ITV?

It starts with a simple love of television. Watching it, creating it, talking about it. Whether it’s daytime or primetime, for downtime or anytime.

We’re inspired by our audiences. Who helps shape what we make. Standing shoulder to shoulder with them. Because what matters to them, matters to us.

Starting conversations. Winning hearts. Changing minds and sometimes even society itself. Big or small, what we make makes an impact.
