The Role
The role
As a Production Secretary for Daytime, you will be responsible for providing key administrative and logistical support to the production teams. Your role will involve managing travel and accommodation arrangements, handling production accounts and expenses, maintaining schedules, and assisting with the daily operations of both shows. You will work closely with production coordinators and managers to ensure smooth and efficient execution of all production activities, from live broadcasts to location shoots.
As a Production Secretary, you will work across This Morning, Lorraine & Loose Women on a rotational basis.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Prior experience in an administrative or production support role, ideally in TV or media production
- Excellent attention to detail, especially in handling logistics, documentation, and coordination
- Proven experience managing complex travel bookings, accommodation, and catering arrangements, both domestic and international.
- Experience of working in a deadline-driven environment, working accurately and to speed
- A basic working understanding of production filming equipment and hiring practices
- Previous experience working in a live broadcast/studio environment.

- Strong communication skills, ensuring clarity and efficiency in all interactions
- A proactive, calm, and adaptable approach, especially under the pressures of live television production.
Planning & Organising
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and stakeholders at once, with high attention to detail in managing logistics, documentation, and communication.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Confidence managing travel logistics, including bookings for flights, accommodation, and transfers, and handling related expenses
- Working knowledge of applying for Visas, Carnet and filming permissions in the UK and abroad
Leadership & Management or Working with Others
- Demonstrated experience of working effectively and constructively as part of a team and with a wide range of people (production colleagues, on-screen contributors/talent and members of the public)
- A positive, team-focused attitude, with the ability to remain calm and flexible under pressure in a fast-paced environment
