The team
ITV Signpost is a world-class production house and a centre of excellence for media accessibility. We are a proud part of the ITV Academy, which brings together ITV’s existing training schemes under one roof to foster the next generation of talent. As a leader in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), ITV Signpost doesn't just meet industry standards—we set them. Our mission is to ensure the media landscape is as diverse as the audience it serves, specialising in accessibility for Deaf and neurodivergent creators.
The project
Create Talent is a pioneering initiative funded by the North East Combined Authority. This project is specifically designed to boost the creative economy in the North East by providing training, outreach, and sustainable career pathways for local talent. Through this funding, we are able to provide high-quality modules and mentorship that bridge the gap between education and the professional media industry.
The role
We are seeking a proactive, highly organised Project Coordinator & Goals Mentor. This dual role sits at the heart of the Create Talent project. You will manage the logistical "gears" of the project while acting as a vital mentor to our participants, ensuring they are signposted to the right opportunities long after their initial training concludes.
Key Responsibilities
Coordination & Administration
- Project Delivery: Coordinate training schedules, outreach workshops, and specific learning modules across the North East.
- Contracting & Finance: Liaise with the Project Manager to raise contracts for trainers and partners, manage project budgets, and ensure the project is delivered on-track financially.
- Event Management: Lead the organisation of project events and workshops, maintaining high standards and meeting strict deadlines.
Goals Mentorship & DEI
- Participant Journeys: Work one-on-one with participants to ensure their learning journey translates into real-world career steps.
- Inclusive Access: Actively support our DEI commitment by working with a diverse range of people, ensuring the project is accessible to all.
- Signposting: Connect participants to further education, internships, or production roles within the ITV Academy network.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Proven administrative experience with contracts, spreadsheets and budget tracking.
- An understanding and knowledge of British Sign Language and Deaf Awareness
- You have established links with the education and training sectors.
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
- You have an interest in media production
- You have a passion for DE&I
- You are motivated, able to work under pressure, and enjoy being part of a high-energy team.

What is the magic of ITV?
It starts with a simple love of television. Watching it, creating it, talking about it. Whether it’s daytime or primetime, for downtime or anytime.
We’re inspired by our audiences. Who helps shape what we make. Standing shoulder to shoulder with them. Because what matters to them, matters to us.
Starting conversations. Winning hearts. Changing minds and sometimes even society itself. Big or small, what we make makes an impact.
