The Role
Runners’ Bootcamp, Multi-day Training Course
Manchester
4-day training bootcamp
ITV Academy is committed to developing the next generation of production talent and bridging the gap between passion and professional reality. We’re dedicated to training the brightest new talent so they can step onto any ITV Studios set! We want to ensure our productions, from fast-paced studio shows to gripping dramas, are supported by the best entry-level talent in the industry.
The Opportunity
Become 'Set-Ready' for 2026! We are looking for motivated individuals to join our Runners’ Bootcamp 2026. This isn’t just classroom sessions, it’s an intensive, practical training programme designed to give you the essential skills to transition into professional TV Runner roles.
In just four days, we’ll help you master life on set. You’ll collaborate with industry leads across all genres, get expert eyes on your CV, and build the professional network you need to help you transition straight into your first Runner role.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- A demonstrable interest in pursuing a career as a Runner within the TV industry.
- Demonstrable TV-related interests: we are looking for candidates who can point to specific examples of their passion, whether through hobbies, self-taught technical skills, or knowledge of the industry.
- Evidence of working in high-pressure environments (e.g., retail, hospitality, or events), not just media.
- Demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for working across all genres, showing no bias between scripted or unscripted programmes.
- A proactive, "can-do" attitude suitable for high-pressure studio, location environments and office environments.
- Strong communication skills.
- Full availability to attend the 4-day bootcamp on-site in Manchester in June 2026.

What is the magic of ITV?
It starts with a simple love of television. Watching it, creating it, talking about it. Whether it’s daytime or primetime, for downtime or anytime.
We’re inspired by our audiences. Who helps shape what we make. Standing shoulder to shoulder with them. Because what matters to them, matters to us.
Starting conversations. Winning hearts. Changing minds and sometimes even society itself. Big or small, what we make makes an impact.
