The Role
The role
This role is a key driver of the ITV Studios' Brand Licensing team’s commercial success, responsible for identifying and securing strategic licensing partnerships across all Consumer Products categories products that unlock the full potential of our iconic brands, such as Love Island, Hell’s Kitchen, The Voice, Schitt’s Creek, Ludwig, I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and Coronation Street and many others. By negotiating impactful deals and expanding brand presence across global markets, it transforms creative IP into commercial growth, playing a central role in revenue generation and international brand recognition.
The successful candidate will lead initiatives that grow our licensed product business across categories (toys, apparel, home, publishing, health & beauty, kitchenware and more), delivering innovation through retail (including DTRs) and eCommerce partnerships, and deepening brand engagement with consumers.
Main responsibilities
PARTNER RELATIONSHIP AND BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
- Nurture strong relationships with retail partners, licensees, retailers, and internal teams, managing all aspects of deal making and product launching, forecasting, and reporting.
- Manage the direct to consumer (DTC) channels working with operational partners to maximise opportunities for growth.
COMMERCIAL GROWTH
- Identify and pursue new licensing opportunities across all categories and markets to meet financial and profit targets.
- Create compelling, visually polished pitch decks to present to Licensees and Retailers and drive new businesses.
- Actively seek and negotiate global deals to expand IP footprint, whilst adhering to policy and strategic business objectives.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL & PARTNER COLLABORATIONS
- Work in tandem with internal ITV stakeholders (e.g. Production Labels, Marketing, Creative, Legal) to deliver integrated consumer product campaigns.
- Collaborate with cross-divisional teams (e.g. Show integrations and live experiences) to create cohesive brand activations under one lens.
REPORTING, ANALYTICS & BUDGETING
- Ensure all opportunities, leads, and commercial activity are tracked using SalesForce. Maintain an up-to-date contact database of licensees, agents, and partners.
- Maintain accurate forecasting and tracking of sales, royalties and marketing spend.
- Use consumer insights, retail data and performance analytics to inform strategic planning and campaign optimisation.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Strong experience in managing licensing programmes, ideally within entertainment, lifestyle, or toy sectors.
- Proven ability to manage top-tier retail accounts, and deliver high revenue brand licensing programmes across all licensing categories, including Direct to Retail, and high profile brand collaborations.
- Familiarity in eCommerce/digital sales performance.
- Confident communicator and skilled presenter with internal and external stakeholders.
- Organised, adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaborative in a team with a proactive mindset and results-driven approach.
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
