The role
The role will be central to a programme designed to make risk management, internal controls, compliance and assurance at ITV simpler, clearer and more consistent. The focus is on helping the central teams who set expectations for the business work together in a more joined-up way, so guidance is easy to understand and has as little impact on day-to-day operations as possible.
The role combines subject-matter expertise with hands-on programme delivery and will:
- Lead the day-to-day running of the programme
- Coordinate central teams and bring consistency to how expectations are set
- Shape control frameworks and set up an assurance programme
- Drive adoption of new ways of working across the business

- Provide subject-matter expertise on UK Corporate Governance Code (Provision 29) and
related requirements.
- Ensure ITV’s material controls scope remains appropriate and compliant.
- Embed “risk and control by design” in transformation programmes and core processes.
Assurance Oversight
- Develop and manage a proportionate assurance programme that works alongside Internal Audit.
- Review and challenge divisional assurance outputs, escalate significant weaknesses, and track remediation.
- Drive consistency in assurance methodologies, reducing duplication and improving efficiency.
Controls & Governance
- Lead the rollout of minimum control requirements across the group with clear accountability.
- Enhance the control self-assessment process to support group-wide assurance.
Enablement & Collaboration
- Partner with central and functional leads to promote joined-up, simplified ways of working
- Provide consolidated risk, control, and assurance reporting to the Management Board.

What is the magic of ITV?
It starts with a simple love of television. Watching it, creating it, talking about it. Whether it’s daytime or primetime, for downtime or anytime.
We’re inspired by our audiences. Who helps shape what we make. Standing shoulder to shoulder with them. Because what matters to them, matters to us.
Starting conversations. Winning hearts. Changing minds and sometimes even society itself. Big or small, what we make makes an impact.
