The Role

Wyt ti’n hoffi siarad gyda phobol a busnesa?!

Oes gen ti’r ddawn i fod y cyntaf i wybod y clecs a’r newyddion diweddaraf?

Eisiau creu cynnwys ar gyfer gwasanaeth Newyddion digidol S4C a gweithio ar gyfresi materion cyfoes fel Y Byd ar Bedwar a Y Byd yn ei Le?

Dyma dy cyfle felly i adrodd straeon a bod yn rhan o dîm cynnwys newyddion digidol a materion cyfoes Cymraeg ITV Cymru.

Mae hwn yn gynllun newydd gan ITV Cymru ac S4C i feithrin newyddiadurwyr y dyfodol. Felly os wyt ti’n greadigol a’n gallu gweithio’n dda dan bwysau, yn angerddol am ddatblygu cynnwys ar gyfer platfformau digidol ac eisiau cael profiad o dorri straeon newydd, dyma’r lle i ti gael blas o’r cyfan dan arweiniad tîm o newyddiadurwyr profiadol.

Byddi yn derbyn 12 mis o hyfforddiant ymarferol ac yn datblygu sgiliau angenrheidiol newyddiaduraeth. Byddi yn angerddol am gynnwys amrywiaeth o leisiau a straeon o gorneli o Gymru sydd yn cael eu tan-cynrychioli gan awchu i ddatblygu dy sgiliau technegol yn ogystal â newyddiadurol.

Hanfodol:

  • Diddordeb brwd ym myd newyddiaduraeth Cymru a thu hwnt.
  • Adnabyddiaeth gadarn o ffynonellau newyddion amrywiol.
  • Sgiliau ymchwilio i sicrhau cywirdeb a thegwch.
  • Gallu ymdopi gyda sefyllfaoedd heriol a gweithio i derfynau amser dyddiol.
  • Ymwybyddiaeth wych o blatfformau digidol amrywiol
  • Cymraeg safonol yn ysgrifenedig ac ar lafar.

Yn ddymunol:

  • Profiad ym myd newyddiaduraeth.
  • Trwydded yrru.

Mae amrywiaeth, tegwch a chynhwysiant wrth wraidd popeth rydyn ni’n ei wneud, ac rydyn ni eisiau adlewyrchu ein cynulleidfa – ar y sgrin ac yn ein gweithle. Mae ITV ar gyfer pawb, ac rydyn ni’n annog pobl Fyddar, pobl anabl, pobl niwroamrywiol a Phobl o Liw i wneud cais am y swydd yma.

Mae’r ystafell newyddion yn lle prysur, gyda chynyrchiadau newyddion byw, sy’n aml yn gofyn i gydweithwyr wneud penderfyniadau sydyn dan bwysau. Mae angen pobl sydd yn gallu cymryd camau ar eu liwt eu hunain, ac yn enwedig ar gyfer swyddi golygyddol, pobl sy’n gwybod pa wybodaeth fydd ei hangen a sut i fynd ati i’w chwilio.

Mae’n rhaid i ni brofi’r sgiliau yma yn ystod y cyfweliad er mwyn gweld sut fydd ymgeiswyr yn ymateb pan maen nhw’n gweithio mewn sefyllfa dan bwysau. Mae hyn yn rhan hanfodol o’r swydd. Byddwn ni bob amser yn ystyried unrhyw gais am addasiadau rhesymol fel rhan o’r broses gyfweld – er enghraifft, rhannu prif themâu pan fydd hynny’n cael ei ofyn mewn perthynas â chyflwr niwroamrywiol – ond eto gan sicrhau ein bod ni’n gallu profi gallu ymgeisydd i weithio’n effeithiol yn yr ystafell newyddion.

I wneud cais, anfonwch CV, llythyr cais a chlip fideo yn ateb y cwestiynau isod.

Gallwch recordio eich clip ar eich ffôn a’i uwchlwytho i Youtube neu wefan arall (er mwyn cael linc bydd angen cyfrif Youtube neu arall arnoch). Cofiwch i labeli’r clip yn glir gyda’ch enw chi.

Hoffwn i chi ateb y cwestiynau penodol yma -

    • Rhowch eich enw, rhagenwau ac o ble ydych chi’n dod.
    • Mae gen i ddiddordeb i fod yn newyddiadurwr dan hyfforddiant oherwydd……
    • Pa bynciau neu straeon yr ydych chi’n teimlo’n angerddol amdanyn nhw?

Hoffwn i chi anfon yr atebion fel un clip ac ni ddylai’r fideo cyfan fod yn fwy na 3 munud.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is at the heart of what we do at ITV Cymru Wales and we want to ensure we reflect our audience both on screen and in our workforce. ITV is for Everyone and we encourage applications from Deaf, Disabled and Neurodivergent people and People of Colour to apply for this role.

Newsrooms are busy and pressurised environments, involving live news production, which often requires colleagues to make quick decisions under pressure. We also need people who are able to use their initiative and, particularly for editorial roles, know what information might be required and how to research it.

We need to test these abilities at the interview stage to understand how candidates will react when operating in a pressurised environment. This is a fundamental requirement of the role. We will always consider any request for reasonable adjustments as part of the interview process, for example sharing key themes when that is requested in connection with a neurodivergent condition, whilst still ensuring that we are able to test a candidate's ability to operate in the specific environment of a newsroom.

To apply, please send a CV, cover letter, and a video clip answering the questions below.

You can record your clip on your phone and upload it to YouTube or another platform (you will need a YouTube or equivalent account to generate a link). Please remember to clearly label the clip with your name.

We would like you to answer these specific questions:

  • Give your name, pronouns, and where you are from.
  • "I am interested in becoming a trainee journalist because..."
  • What topics or stories are you passionate about?

Please send your answers as a single clip, and the entire video should be no longer than 3 minutes.

Interview Date: 03/09/2026

ITV is for everyone.

We're happy to discuss any support/personalisation you may need during our application and selection process as part of our reasonable adjustments. Drop us a line if you require anything at talkingcareers@itv.com.

What is the magic of ITV?

It starts with a simple love of television. Watching it, creating it, talking about it. Whether it’s daytime or primetime, for downtime or anytime.

We’re inspired by our audiences. Who helps shape what we make. Standing shoulder to shoulder with them. Because what matters to them, matters to us.

Starting conversations. Winning hearts. Changing minds and sometimes even society itself. Big or small, what we make makes an impact.
