Our long-running shows, Coronation Street and Emmerdale, and our Daytime output run all year round and so hire many roles on a fixed term or permanent contract basis.
Most of our other business areas, however, are ‘project-based’, crewing up for productions as they are commissioned throughout the year. When we’re looking for teams in this way, we draw on a huge and vibrant community of freelance talent with proven skills/credits of a particular show or genre. We also add new talent by advertising for specific roles/programmes and are constantly refreshing our talent pools.
We’re committed to making sure our search for talent reaches people from all groups and backgrounds. We proactively seek out and champion candidates from under-represented groups including those from lower-socio economic backgrounds, those from Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities and disabled people.
We will offer support and advice through our CV clinics, speculative interviews and networking events as well as guidance on development opportunities and career progression.
And through our collaboration with third party organisations we will strive to create a positive, supportive and inclusive environment for our freelance production community.

Shows that run all year round - namely the soaps Coronation Street and Emmerdale and much of our daytime output, Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women - will hire many people on a fixed term or permanent contract basis to maintain continuity of expertise.
Most of our productions are commissioned on a project by project basis. We hire for these shows, often last minute, from our extensive and inclusive talent pools of freelancers.
If you’re looking for your first role in TV production, whether you’re fresh out of school or changing your career, there are a range of options open to you. They include our own ITV Apprenticeship Scheme, many industry-wide schemes, as well as direct entry to running, logging and data wrangling roles on production.
